We believe in one God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ the Son suffered on the cross in our place, that He died but rose again, and that He now sits at the right hand of the Father until He returns to judge every person at the last day.
We believe that the Holy Scriptures are the inspired Word of God, and are without error.
We believe that by the grace of God every person has the ability and the responsibility to choose between right and wrong. We believe that those who repent of their sin and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are justified by faith.
We believe that God not only counts the believer as righteous, but He makes them righteous—He frees them from the rule of sin at their conversion, He purifies their hearts by faith, and He provides for their growth in grace at every stage of spiritual life, enabling them through the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit to live victorious lives.
As a matter of practice:
In essential beliefs—we have unity.
“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
Ephesians 4:3–6
In non-essential beliefs—we have liberty.
“Accept those whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master they stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand. So then, we will all give an account of ourselves to God. So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed are those who do not condemn themselves by what they approve.”
Romans 14:1, 4, 12, 22
In all our beliefs—we show charity.
“If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.”
1 Corinthians 13:2
