CultureWorks uses the arts to form mentoring relationships with middle school and high school students. The arts provide a universal language that bridges social, economic and cultural differences—a bridge that can lead to a deeper appreciation of our neighbors and ourselves. With creative programming ranging from hands on ceramics instruction to digital fun and fine arts, CultureWorks seeks to open the door to creativity for students of all ages.
CultureWorks was a direct result of Engedi’s desire to build into our community and maintains a special emphasis on coming alongside at-risk students. A team from Engedi helped launch CultureWorks in the spring of 2011 as a separate non-profit entity. We are thrilled to see more than fifty students from a diversity of backgrounds participate in CultureWorks’ offerings each semester.
