Elevate
Elevate is a community for college students (and college-age young adults) to develop deeper relationships with each other while addressing some of life’s most pressing questions. Questions like “What does it mean to be a Christian in the workplace?” or “Why doesn’t God answer me when I need him the most?” It’s also a community that isn’t afraid to let go and have fun.
At Elevate, we focus on three things: Sunday rides, Host families and Host groups.
Sunday rides
If you need a ride to church on Sunday morning, be at the Hope College flagpole at 10:40am. You’ll be dropped off at the same flagpole after the worship gathering.
Host Families
The part of home most college students miss most is a living room and a home-cooked meal. We have host families from the Engedi community who’d love to have you and a few friends over for dinner a few times over the course of the semester.
Groups
Lastly, we have student-led groups that are hosted by an individual or couple from the Engedi community—journeying with college students as they encounter big and small life decisions. We do this through modeling accountability, honesty, and commitment.
Email Jeff for more information.
We’re an equal opportunity community: Hope, Calvin, GVSU, Davenport, Cornerstone, GRCC, Ferris, or your mom’s basement—it doesn’t really matter to us.
Roots
So you graduated from college. Maybe. And now you’re staring the Big Question square in the face: Now what? You’ve got to find a job, or start a family, or get a mortgage, or go to grad school, or move back home. Worst of all, you can’t go to Elevate any more.
We’ve got you covered: Welcome to Roots.
Roots is for post-college-age young adults, single and married alike, who want to connect socially with others who are going through the exact same things. These are people who love Jesus and have fun at the same time.
