Purpose of the Position
Engedi Students exists to advance the kingdom revolution of Jesus worldwide. The Engedi Student Pastor will provide direction and oversight of Engedi’s student ministry, students in grades 6th-12th, including the leadership and pastoral care of its volunteer leaders, students, and parents.

- Ability to recruit, develop and communicate with volunteers
- Aligns with Engedi’s vision to connect with people of varying ethnic and economic backgrounds
- Team player – humble, willing to defer to others, can lead under direction
- Is a partner of Engedi or is willing to become one upon joining staff

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Champion the communication and vision casting of Student ministry across all campuses
- Coach the Middle School Coordinator and Students Worship Leader
- Oversee planning of all Engedi Students gatherings and events
- Develop a relevant curriculum that engages the head, heart, and hands of students
- Teach at a minimum of 65% of Engedi Students gatherings
- Oversee and develop Crews, creating relational subgroups for students and leaders to connect on a deeper level
- Recruit, train, and develop interns, Crew Leaders, and Crew Coaches
- Oversee and develop student leadership teams
- Coordinate strategic outreach opportunities
- Empower and equip parents in their roles as the spiritual leaders of their families
- Create and oversee annual goals and budget for Engedi Students
- Ensure the cultural relevance of the weekly programming and other events for students
- Develop a network of relationships with local schools, other churches and various people and organizations within our community
- Seek out opportunities for collaboration with other Engedi ministries
- Carry out all the above mentioned duties and responsibilities, as well as those not stated above, that would be necessary to ensure the success of the Engedi staff team and the flourishing of the Engedi family as it relates to the Student ministry.
Other Responsibilities
- Participate in monthly staff meetings (2nd Monday of the month)
- Participate in once a month director meetings (4th Monday of the month)
- Participate in most staff prayer meetings (every Monday)
- Participate in most Worship Nights (three per year)
- Attend all-staff and director retreats (four per year, two are overnight)
Other Details
- Full-time, 45 hours/week position including vacation and personal days, cell phone reimbursement, subsidized onsite daycare at Holland Campus, solitude days, and matching 403b contributions
- Reports to Engedi Kids Pastor
