Purpose of the Position
To launch, develop, lead and oversee the Engedi Grand Rapids’ young adult ministry.

- Effective administrative skills – including the ability to set goals, facilitate advance planning and effectively manage ministry and personal schedules

- Aligns with Engedi’s vision to connect with people of varying ethnic and economic backgrounds

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the GR Campus Pastor and Young Adult Pastor to create and develop a Young Adult ministry for the Grand Rapids campus including the research and exploration of common strategies and best practices (startup phase)
- Establish a self-fundraising plan for half of the position’s salary, Engedi and others to provide fundraising coaching
- Oversee the leadership, vision and execution of the GR Young Adult ministry (college-aged focus)
- Oversee all aspects of the GR Young Adult Ministry including Thursday evening programming, CABLE group promotion and leadership, and special events
- Identify, develop and empower Young Adults team leaders and possibly interns
- Develop and implement strategies for GR Young Adults to connect into CABLE groups
- Cultivate relationships and connections with area colleges (faculty, staff, students, etc) for purposes of recruitment and promotion
- Responsible for all aspects of promotion and marketing of GR Young Adults
- Assist in the general pastoral needs of the campus as needed (ie. one-off counseling, on-call support, Sunday morning hosting, etc.)
- Carry out all the above mentioned duties and responsibilities, as well as those not stated above, that would be necessary to ensure the success of the Engedi staff team and the flourishing of the Engedi family as it relates to GR Young Adults
Other Responsibilities
- Participate in monthly staff meetings at the Holland Campus (2nd Monday of the month)
- Participate in most staff prayer meetings at the Holland Campus (every Monday)
- Participate in most Worship Nights (three per year)
- Attend all-staff retreats (two per year, one is overnight)
Other Details
- Full-time, 45 hours/week position including vacation and personal days, cell phone reimbursement, subsidized onsite daycare at Holland Campus, laptop
- Duration of employment agreement initially set at 12 months with an option to renew pending achievement of key objectives, metrics and/or goals set by Engedi leadership
- Half of salary to be fundraised by YA Coord; half paid by the church
- Reports to Grand Rapids Campus Pastor (advised by the Young Adults Pastor)
