How We Care for You

As a church, our goal is to care well for you and your family in ways that sustain your calling and strengthen your impact for God’s kingdom. We recognize that as someone who has been sent, you may experience significant stress, isolation, cross-cultural pressures, and even trauma while serving in the field. These realities can affect both your personal life and your ministry. Because of this, we are committed to offering care that truly meets your needs—including support for your mental and emotional health.

Mental Health Self-Assessments

Engedi requires each long-term worker to complete mental health self-assessments (GAD-7 and PHQ-9) twice a year. These brief, simple questionnaires act as check-ins that help flag whether you might be experiencing a mental health concern. They provide a chance to reflect on well-being, surface questions that may have been avoided, and validate what you’re experiencing. The self-assessments also help identify when additional support may be helpful.

Results are confidential and go only to the Engedi Member Care Mental Health Team. If needed, the Mental Health Leader will follow up with you regarding options for additional support.

Recognize the signs. Reach for support.

If you’re experiencing any of the following signs of anxiety or depression, we encourage you to reach out to your Member Care representative, our Member Care Mental Health team, or our Global Pastor for support.
