- Commitment to confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- A partner of Engedi or is willing to become one upon joining staff
- Tithes to the local church (Engedi)
- Has completed the Journey class and is in a CABLE (small) Group or is willing to complete the class and become a part of a group upon joining staff
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Community Life Assistant performs a wide range of administrative tasks that are key to developing and strengthening biblical community and facilitating spiritual formation at Engedi. This team member supports the fast-paced Community Life department by accomplishing the following:
- Coordinate Community Life logistics and processes (Journey, New Decisions Follow Up, Baptisms, Partnership, Ministry Events and Spiritual Formation Classes)
- Assist in coordinating and supporting processes for Leadership School applications, interviews, registrations, instruction and classroom support
- Effectively maintain CCB database, programming schedules and data reported on Engedi’s monthly dashboard
- Responsible for scheduling, registration, setup (in person, virtual and synchronous environments) and evaluations for all adult spiritual formation classes and ministry events
- Responsible for submitting facility and technical requests to support department activity and supporting a value of excellence with all classes and events
- Manage a wide array of communications and promotions requests for the department
- Complete monthly expense reports for departmental and Discipleship Pastor expenses
- Assist the Community Life team with various administrative tasks including organizing documents, tracking the budget, organizing meetings/events, and general administration
- Order office supplies and materials needed for department programming
- Assist with general staff and receptionist duties as scheduled
Other Responsibilities
- Participate in monthly staff meetings (1st Monday of the month)
- Part-time position, 20 hours with benefits including vacation and personal days, cell phone reimbursement, on site day care at Holland Campus, and matching 403b contributions
- Reports to the Pastor of Discipleship and Leadership Development
