Global Missional Life Assistant

 

Purpose of the Position

To advance the Kingdom revolution of Jesus by ensuring the administrative functionality and effectiveness of the Global Missional Life Department at Engedi Church.

The staff culture at Engedi is very healthy and recently scored a rating of 4.38 with the Best Christian Workplace Institute. This rating places Engedi into the “flourishing” category, the institute’s highest and best possible category when rating organizations from across the country.

  • Has completed the Journey class and is in a CABLE (small) Group or is willing to complete the class and become a part of a group upon joining staff

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Maintain department database and update department metrics 
  • Complete scheduling, registration, and facility reservations for department programming
  • Compile and submit global prayer requests
  • Purchase materials and supplies needed for department programming
  • Manage communication for department email account
  • Maintain department calendar
  • Manage department social media accounts including writing, scheduling, and posting content
  • Assist in supporting short-term preparation and logistics including: 
    • Securing trip insurance for all travelers
    • Purchasing visas as needed for teams
    • Maintaining and organizing trip documents 
    • Depositing donations 
    • Registering teams with the US State Department
    • Completing background checks for all travelers
    • Managing van reservations
    • Purchasing trip curriculum
  • Provide support as needed for special events including Global Focus Sundays (1-2x/year), Commissioning (4x/year), Tread, Global Volunteer Rally, global fundraisers, global guest speakers, etc.
  • Support general department administrative needs
  • Assist with general staff and receptionist duties as needed

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in monthly staff meetings (1st Monday of the month)
  • Participate in most staff prayer meetings (every Monday, at least 25%)
  • Participate in most Worship Nights (at least 25%)
  • Attend staff retreats (twice annually, one of which is overnight)

 

Other Details 

  • Part-time, 10 hours/week position including vacation and personal days, cell phone reimbursement, subsidized onsite daycare at Holland Campus, and matching 403b contributions
